Artpace Touring Program
“We don’t have many opportunities to do art at our school. This gave the students a chance to really experience art.”
– Third Grade Teacher, January 2013
Offered throughout the year, Artpace’s free three-part touring program gives students a hands-on opportunity to explore and interact with contemporary art in a stimulating, laboratory setting.
- Introductory Visit: An Artpace Associate Educator visits the students and leads an interdisciplinary workshop selected by the teacher.
- Tour: The students tour Artpace’s exhibitions and spaces and create their own works of art in the Student Studio.
- Reflection Visit: The Associate Educator returns to the classroom or organization to facilitate an additional TEKS-aligned workshop reflecting the group’s Artpace tour.

Teacher Workshops
Each semester Artpace offers Teacher Workshops providing Texas Education Agency-certified Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit. These in-services equip instructors with the tools to develop successful curriculum using contemporary art to explore and explain interdisciplinary topics.
