Semester Program - A twice-annual partnership between Artpace and two San Antonio ISD schools, the Semester Program pairs a local artist with a cross-disciplinary class for an entire semester. In the classroom, the students, artist, and teacher engage in weekly discussions and lessons about contemporary art and public design. These conversations are materialized into a site-specific public artwork for the school's campus. Art professionals provide feedback and support to students as they design, fabricate, and install their public work, which is revealed during an Unveiling Ceremony at the end of the semester.

¿Como Vives? - Twice a year, ¿Como Vives? brings groups from schools or community organizations to consider an Artpace artist's work in relation to their own lives. This sustained interaction gives students the opportunity to focus on the artist's chosen themes, media, and process through discussion and art making. Over the course of several weeks, students create artwork in response to the exhibition and share their results in a special critique session with the Artpace artist or a local professional artist. ¿Como Vives? culminates in a student art show situated in a community venue.
